We Listen: Lord Of The Rings The Complete Recordings

Just the previous week i found out about Lord Of The Rings: The Complete Recordings. I don't really know how it happened and searched about them. I think it was after we watched with my friends the uncut versions of movies once more. Before that, i had the the original soundtracks only. So here i am..searching..The difference of the Complete Recordings with the Original Soundtrack? While the OST is 3 cds, the Complete ones are 9.Yep! 9 cds full with LOTR music! One of the best OSTs that was ever made. The music is so fairytalish. It inspires me with everything. Drawing,reading,writing...The last week i'm listening again and again to it.
My favourite songs from the OST were May It Be by Enya (LOTR I) and Uruk-Hai by Howard Shore (LOTR II). My favourite songs from the Complete Recordings are The Road Goes Ever On... Part 2 (feat. "In Dreams") by Howard Shore & Edward Ross (LOTR I) and Théoden King (feat. "The Funeral of Théodred") by Howard Shore (LOTR II).
If you like that kind of music ( soundtracks or acoustic ) and you didn't know about  Lord Of The Rings: The Complete Recordings you should definetelly have to try them! It's a must!
Do you like LOTR too? And what do you listen to when you are reading?

P.S: I was thinking to make the first post of the We Listen feature about The Pretty Reckless but my head is kinda stuck with LOTR right now. And i believe that acoustic music is far more better for when you are doing creative things or reading.

A Kiss In Time Review

Talia fell under a spell . . . . Jack broke the curse.
I was told to beware the accursed spindle, but it was so enchanting, so hypnotic. . . .
I was looking for a little adventure the day I ditched my tour group. But finding a comatose town, with a hot-looking chick asleep in it, was so not what I had in mind.
I awakened in the same place but in another time—to a stranger's soft kiss.
I couldn't help kissing her. Sometimes you just have to kiss someone. I didn't know this would happen.
Now I am in dire trouble because my father, the king, says I have brought ruin upon our country. I have no choice but to run away with this commoner!
Now I'm stuck with a bratty princess and a trunk full of her jewels. . . . The good news: My parents will freak!
Think you have dating issues? Try locking lips with a snoozing stunner who turns out to be 316 years old. Can a kiss transcend all—even time?

REVIEW(5/5):
To let you know something more about the plot we basically follow the story of Sleeping Beauty when she wakes up. Talia happened to be the Sleeping Beauty 300 years ago, and at the start of the book we see a little of how she found the spindle. Then, we are coming in our time and see how Jack found her and kissed her. That's only the first part of the book. The story continues with Talia following Jack cause she thinks he is her destiny and try to make him fall in love with her while Jack feels kinda responsible for her and of course to bring a girl home will freak out his parents(something which find really important). As the story goes on with those two, the evil witch appears again and believes the curse broke my mistake and tries to get Talia back.

I will admit i was a little afraid with a story who changes a classic fairytale but it was ok. Actually it was amazing! One of the best books i have read. Alex Flinn doesn't change the story of Sleeping Beauty, she just put the prince in our time. The writing is fast and simple (not in a bad way). I didn't get bored in not even one part of the book. It was interesting from the very first page and kept me entertained.

As for our main characters. Talia at first is really annoying. Well, she was a princess who had everything in her life and to have her live in our world where we don't have servants it's a big change. But as the story goes, you get to know her better. She is a really sweet,kind,clever,naive..she is indeed a fairytale princess. Her character is simple.
Jack is a normal guy. And when i say normal i mean it. Not bad or good like other love stories. Normal. I could see my best friends in him so it was easy for me to like him. He cares about what he did but at the same time he was thinking about himself as well. He didn't fall in love with her immediately or cause of magic. He fall in love when he starts to know her better. And that's what i liked a lot about him. The beauty wasn't the most important thing. He gives her a chance for something more.

But what i find most important and i like more at the book is the whole set up of the story and writing! It's a mix of our world and the fairytale world. While Talia learn some new expressions like "it sucks", she still talking in the old princess way and stays herself. And Jack doesn't try to change her. Also the book is amazingly funny. Since Talia was sleeping for 300 years she has missed the whole technology evolution! Her reactions are so authentic when she meets something new. Plus positive for me, it's written in first person by Talia and Jack. So you get to find out how they feel about same situations and what they think of each other.

I say, you definetelly have to read the book! ;)

Scott Pilgrim VS The World Movie Review

Scott Pilgrim has never had a problem getting a girlfriend. It’s getting rid of them that proves difficult. From the girl who kicked his heart’s ass—and now is back in town—to the teenage distraction he’s trying to shake when Ramona rollerblades into his world, love hasn’t been easy. He soon discovers, however, his new crush has the most unusual baggage of all: a nefarious league of exes controls her love life and will do whatever it takes to eliminate him as a suitor. As Scott gets closer to Ramona, he must face an increasingly vicious rogues’ gallery from her past — from infamous skateboarders to vegan rock stars and fearsomely identical twins. And if he hopes to win his true love, he must vanquish them all before it really is game over.

REVIEW:
Just yesterday i went with my friends to watch Scott Pilgrim vs The World. I was pretty excited about it. The trailer was fun. But i didn't expect what i found out. Man! The movie just ROCKS! The trailer is nothing opposite of it. For this year my two fav movies were Inception and Kick Ass. Well now, Scott Pilgrim just kicked out Kick Ass.

Where i would start? Special effects and music? Fantastic! It was like a video game-comic-real movie all in one. It had that comic words for the sounds like "BAMMM" or "RIINGGG". It has the video game style for fights! He was even getting lvl up! The music was mostly rock i would say and loud. I love loud music which fills you.

The scenario and the whole directing of the movie was pretty great too. It has it's "serious" moments but it has it's funny moments too. Actually it's more funny moments. I couldn't stop laughing at the whole movie. I really want to describe some pretty amazing scenes right now but i don't want to spoil you. Hahahaha...Seriously i can't find words to describe it (Johnny if you can help at the comments.I know you love it too). Obviously it's not like the most "meaningful" movie ever. Not at all. But i fell good when was over. I'm trying to think of something bad about it and i can't. LOL. Just EPIC!

Also the cast wow! I knew half the actors of the movie and i haven't seen them in roles like that before. They were all amazing and really into their roles. No matter how weird they were. I would mention some actors that you might know too. Michael Cera (also known from Juno), Kieran Kyle Culkin (also known from Home Alone), Anna Kedrick (also known from Twilight), Mary Elizabeth Winstead (also known from Final Destination 3), Brandon Routh (also known from Superman Returns), Chris Evans (also known from Fantastic Four), etc.

Seriously if you have a free day, and you like actions-funny-comic-game style movies you go watch it. Though there were friends with me who didn't play or read comics and they loved it. From the eight people we were together not even one disliked it. Hope you have fun watch it too!

"Your telephone! Your friend Travis is in it!" - Talia by A Kiss In Time,Alex Flinn
picked byYiota

Oh my how i laughed at this scene! It's the best scene from all the "awkward" ones Talia has. Talia has no idea of the modern world and she is so funny as to tries to understand everything. That's the result when you were sleeping for 300 years. I haven't finished the book yet, as you can see from the Currently Reading but i will today. So you will have a full review soon! I think it's one of the best books i have read. It's so cute and so fun to read!
