Spotlight List: Cliche Phrases Which We Can't Just Get Enough Of Them I

Spotlight List is a totally awesome meme by Small Review, and its actually one of the things that grows my TBR every week. Every week, we create a theme and then we do a top list on it. Small Review already has Spotlight Posts about Fantasy, Gothic, Historical Fiction, Retold Stories you might want to check out.
Every week, one of us will pick a theme and create the list. Then everyone will comment on this list!

The guys only know the comments from the person who picked the theme and did the choices. They haven't seen the rest.

Before you start with this week spotlight i would like to tell you that's part of a big series of Spotlight i have scheduled. Cause it's really nice to Spotlight stories in general, but there are some times that we just love some certain parts of those stories so much that we enjoy them again and again only cause of those things. So prepare for Spotlights on characters, scenes, battles, worlds, second characters, romance, fun stuff and much much more to come!

Cliche Phrases Which We Can't Just Get Enough Of Them I
by Johnny
*Yiota's msg: i had a small part in this one too!*

I thought of this because we all see movies and books, and those phrases are so cliched we dont even pay attention to them. So here are some of them, as well as some questions and things we have noticed about them now that we think about them.

Who Are You? (action-horror stories, or superhero ones)
NOTE: I am referring to the Who Are You that usually someone shouts at the cool masked-hooded-unknown guy. There are many other "Who Are You"'s in normal movies, those are unacounted. The injured bad dude crawls away from the hooded masked hero the bad dude looks in horror and shouts dramatically :WHO ARE YOU! (as if it actually makes any difference. You are dead dude, deal with it)  the hooded masked hero sais even MORE dramatically: I am your worst nightmare
Johnny: Now, this is one of my favorite cliched phrases for 2 reasons. 1st its f****ng EVERYWHERE, and because no one actually ever answers that truthfully. Why I say that you ask? Well its quite simple, have you seen Batman answering this question with a truthfull, "I am Bruce Wane"? NO! why? because everyone wants to say something epic. Another reason I love this is because the victim always yells this
with no actual reason. I mean, honestly? you see someone creeping at you with a gun-knife-chainsaw-dildo or whatever, and THIS is all you can scream at him? Seriously? Anyway, this is one of the classics for me

Athanasia: ok firstly, seriously dildo?? XD “Who are you” is a total cliché phrase, it is a classic one, I always enjoy it.
Nina: it reminds me of afraid women, after their safe or when they are about to die. There cannot be a superhero or a horror movie without it.
Yiota: hahaha! That was a really good description Johnny! I can't stop laughing..oh boy *yiota takes a big breath*..that's ridiculous..i'm moving on  to the next one :P

Where Am I? (action stories after losing concisouncess)
NOTE: the hero of the movie wakes up after he was hit by a car-hypnotized, almost drowned and generally after a chase scene. He grabs his head which is throbbing and asks to none actually "Where Am I?"
Johnny: Another one of my favorites, because it is also in the "Never Answered Truthfully" list. The hero always says that, and it is actually the only question that DOES make sense. I mean it is a normal question to wake up after a god knows what and wonder where the hell are you. What is the awesome thing is that it is met with something epic like "Amongst Friends" or "Somewhere Safe". If they decide to actually answer it truthfully (a bit) they will answer something vague like: "In Athens" Or, "In London" or my personall favorite "In a safe house in New York". Really? thanks a lot Genious, cos those are pretty small fucking cities and now I know EXACTLY where I am. Thanks. What happened to "15th cliched street?" or "At Screwyou avenue"? is it that hard?
Athanasia: “Where am I” is my favorite one, it’s phrase that suites almost everywhere, like after waking up in a basement, after been lost in a forest or even in comedies, like after a party waking up next to some stranger, but here you say “Where am I and Who are you”, those two go together!! As for the truthful answer, it’s better when you don’t know.  "In a safe house in New York" is my favorite too !
Nina: Well, I have to admit that it's a littlle silly. I mean you are not at your home on your bed, obviously.
Yiota: Well you guys must admit it that's the question you will probably do at the same scene. The answer is the weirdo in this one. It's like a chip we have in our mind and we just can't ask something else that "where am i". I wouldn't mind to hear "In Middle Earth" though....

What Do You Want?
NOTE: favorite is when the protagonist (along with the love story, as always) are captured by the bad guy, and only THEN they decide to actually talk their way out, AFTER they shot half his men and blew up half his warehouse or whatever
Johnny: Now, I love this question, because it is one of the most obvious question EVER. Lets see, you were caught by the bad guy, when you uncovered his nuclear missiles as well as his army of robots as well as a new blueprint of a device that would make him unstoppable Let me guess? you ask this because he could just want to make all those for....i dont know? kids parties?
oh no wait, he wants to rule the world. Ah, what a twist!
Athanasia: “What do you want” is the stupidest question of all, when you are chained in a chair and the guy in front of you holds a chainsaw it is obvious that he wants to kill you, because he is a psychopath, but no you have to ask !
Nina: One of the classic ones. You hear it not only in horror movies, but also in superhero ones, even in action ones. And the answer is always about something bad.
Yiota: Oh oh! You forgot something here! I love when the protagonist, who is ready to die, asks and the evil guy answers with all of his plans! And then, the protagonist does something epic and doesn't die and now knows how to win! Protagonist-Evil Guys: 1-0

I Want World Domination
NOTE:  this is actually the response to the previous cliché
Johnny: And I love this because it is the most cliched phrase EVER. I mean honestly, what is with the world and every bad guy wants domination over it
I mean really! world crisis, hunger, aids, frankly this world SUCKS! anyway, i would like to see for once, the bad guy actually wantint something other like "all the buterflies in the world" or something
Athanasia: and I want world peace, “i want world domination” and “I want world peace” are two cliché’s for beauty pageants and evil guys...
Nina: In the superhero movies, the world is rich and healthy. But seriously why do you want the world? It's huge and you can't control it. And all the bad guys want it.
Yiota: Look at that motivational poster! Isn't it awesome? :D World Domination is necessary. Actually the stories with no World Domination, can't get famous. When you need to do something bad need to be big. And well probably...they are kinda bored. The thing is that why continue with this when they see never anyone managed to dominate the world -.^

He Is Building An Army
NOTE: -
Johnny: this is cliched, and favorite
it is not so stupid as just plain obvious I mean it is totally unecessary. We SEE the army, we know the purpose, so what is exactly the point of saying it? Because is awesome!
Athanasia: ***chills over my spine***
Nina: And then you see the army of bad robots. And it's huge and scary. And the hero realize he needs help, badly.
Yiota: I know one thing about this! When you see it, then means that the good things are about to start ^^

  4. Thanks for writing this informative-based content, very few bloggers write informative, case study-based content.

We know that information plays an integral role in each organization. To execute an effective marketing strategy, you have to comprehend the need for a marketing head database and actual database service providers. Nowadays, top advertising and marketing brands are changing towards database promotion to build healthy customer relationships to increase brand loyalty.

  7. noc vs soc
A NOC is a centralized location that engineers, and technicians use to monitor the status of an IT network for a client. Their role is mainly to provide the technical support and backbone that the IT system requires to reduce downtime and keep operations going. Their job is to schedule updates and patches and reduce system interruptions that affect the flow of business.
