Remember Me, Review

In the romantic drama, Remember Me, Robert Pattinson plays Tyler, a rebellious young man in New York City who has a strained relationship with his father(Pierce Brosnan) ever since tragedy seperated their family. Tyler didn't think anyone could possibly understand what he was going through until the day he met Ally(Emilie de Ravin) through an unusual twist of fate. Love was the last thing on his mind, but as her spirit unexpectedly heals and inspires him, he begins to fall for her. Through their love, he begins to find happiness and meaning in his life. Soon, hidden secrets are revealed, tragedy lingers in the air, as the circumstancesthat brought them together threaten to tear them apart. Remember Me is a story about the power of love, the strength of family, and the importance of living passionately and treasuring every day of one's life.

REVIEW:
When I first saw the trailer I thought that is going to be a successful movie just because Robert Pattinson stars. One day I was on the DVD store when I saw it. At first I didn't want to rent it, but I knew that is going to be a boring night without a movie, so I did.

It's about this guy who has family issues and one day he gets beat by a policeman. His best friend finds out that this policeman has a daughter who goes at the same university as they do, so he persuades him to make her fall for him and break her heart. But somewhere in between the guy and the girl fell for each other.

The movie has everything that promises:
Pierce Brosnan in a role that suits him best as the guy's dad who believes that with his work and his money is going to make things better. His role is one of those that needs an experience actor as him to be real as it looks.

For the girls: Robert Pattinson shirtless. BUT believe me when I say this. He is a good actor. His character has his ups and downs and Robert can make them look real. He convinces more for his acting skills than in the Twilight Saga.

Emilie de Ravin with tiny shorts that makes you feel jealous adout her body. Her character reminds me nothing from Claire in Lost. And it's an opportunity for us to see her like that and think that she will become more famous that she is already.

And then here comes the end. And I'm stuck in front of my TV with my eyes wide open thinking what the heck just happened. I am not one of those people that watch to many videos or read to many reviews and I'm glad about it. Because if I did, then probably I wouldn't believe what I saw. It was magical. This is the magic that the directors, screenwriters and actors try to make. And those guys did.

I don't know if you would like to see it or already saw it but I advice you that the movies that are not really those that we want to see, are those which surprise us best.

  1. I'm totally shallow, I want to see this just for Robert Pattinson. and thank you for not spoiling the ending! So many reviews of this movie did exactly that, so I know how it ends. :( But I'll still eventually see it for a shirtless and non sparkly Pattinson!

Not just because of Robert Pattinson or Emilie de Ravin (who plays in Lost and I love Lost) that I wanted to see it, but the story really grab my attention :) From the beginning until the end, I loved it ! Such a beautiful story and the end is so touching ...

  4. i have heard from all my girlfriends that this movie was epic and that was the reason i didn't watch it for such a long time. finally yesterday i decided to give it a chance...

WHY did i do it??!! this movie was really bad...the family had so many issues and Robert Pattinson was horrible..i wanted to hit him in the whole movie, he couldn't speak, he was so bad and Emilie de Ravin was exactly the same, so awkard and plain bad..

as for the story, it was the worst love story ever, it didn't make sense, the whole movie didn't make sense..

i only liked the end because it was tragic but overall i was so bored i stoped it 3 times before finishing it.. it is one of those movies that only girls like..

@nina: i remember you suggested it to me too among other friends..too bad i didn't like..my comment is a little harsh because i just hated the movie ;)

    1. It's ok....Calm down....We need to meet and talk about movies so I can improve my reviews too, for instance, I always mention bad language and sex to my reviews, because I know Yiota hates them in books and movies....But when it comes to you, I feel that I don't know what to write, what to mention and what stuff you like....
