For the month of October 2012
Due to many festivals and posts there was no time to do this earlier but it's always later than never right? :p Enjoy!
Yiota's
At the Gates of Darkness by Raymond Feist - As i said before i'm trying to catch up with series before the last book ever comes out ^.^The Book of The Forsaken by Yiannis Karatsioris - Got this for review and it was quite good too. Written in English by a Greek author.
She Wulf by Sheryl Steines - This one i won at Novel Publicity. I really want to find the time and read since i loved the previous book by the same author.
Ghostwalk by Rebecca Stott - There was a bazaar at the start of the month with book only 5 euros. This one seemed interesting so why not?
Bonded by Michelle Argyle - Great story in a fantasy world. A re-tale of Cinderella. It's next in my TBR which means a review is coming soon. Got it for review as well.
The Crimson Crown by Cinda Williams Chima - I ADORE Chima's books. Already read that one since it was the last of a series that i fell in love with. Great ending, great story! Can't wait to read more of her. Two series by her and i'm not disappointed at all!
The Keeper of the Lost Cities by Shannon Messenger - Okay..i will admit i bought this one just for the cover. Is way too beautiful!
The Fire Chronicle by John Stephens - A middle grade i was waiting for like ever. The Emerald Atlas is the first one and it was one the best books i've read last year so i'm expecting the best from the 2nd one too.
Dragonology - I bought this from the bazaar too. It's about dragons, how can i say no?
Guide to Alagaesia by Christopher Paolini - Also got this one at the bazaar. I liked Eragon, and i wanted to complete the whole set by buying this copy too.
Nina's
1. Pretties by Scott Westerfeld
Well, did you saw the price?? I thought that buying its sibling cheap was pure luck, but it turns out that I'm not run out of it. When I saw it, even though I haven't read Uglies yet, I knew I had to grab it....
2. City of Swords-City of Ships-City of Secrets by Mary Hoffman
Some Greek publication was kind enough to introduce me to the three first books of the series, but after that, they totally forgot that they had to translate the next ones. So, after some years, I was able to find them and I wasn't going to leave them. I know it sucks not having all the books in the same form (half Greek/half English), but I love the series and I love those covers too....
3. The Nightwatchman Express-Devil's Kitchen by Alison DeLuca and First Light by Samantha Summers
Both authors were awesome to send me the copies of their books, so I can read and review them. The reason I choose the books was because I liked the summaries and the books didn't dissapointed me.
Have you read any of those books? What did you get this week? Leave your links at the comments!
I quite enjoyed the Uglies series when I first read it, though I wonder if I'd change my mind now. Keeper of the Lost Cities looks fantastic! I've heard some great things about that book too. Lovely haul! :)
ReplyDeleteOhh, you both got lots of awesome :D Sigh. Keeper of the Lost Cities was so good! Enjoy it all :D
