Movie Review: Super 8

In the summer of 1979, a group of friends in a small Ohio town witness catastrophic train crash while making a super 8 movie and soon suspect that it was not an accident. Shortly after, unusual disappearances and inexplicable events begin to take place in town, and the local Deputy tries to uncover the truth - something more terrifying than any of them could have imagined.

REVIEW:
Super 8 is the aggressive E.T movie. You see exactly what happens if the alien is not friendly. As was in E.T, the story is mostly from a group of kids point of view, where when they try to shoot a movie next to the train station, there is an accident and an alien comes out.

Even though, all the kids were new actors they did a pretty good job with their roles. You totally become one of them, and connect with them. Joel Courtney and Elle Fanning are two little kiddohs with lots of talent inside them.

As for the movie from all the aspects?... it was totally awesome. You always had something to think about and keep you in, with secret and surprises everytime the movie had slow down a little. The special effects and the sound were terrific! Totally a cinema/blu-ray movie! Worth every cent of the ticket.
And while it is quite a dark movie (and maybe scary for kids), it's interesting and nice to see the positive side or how they kids fell about the whole situation instead of the grown ups who as usual just try to find a way to kill the alien.
Another great thing, is that you do not get to see the alien until the end. And i think that's what makes the movie scary for kids. Plus, the alien is not as cute as E.T.

For me it was 2 hours well spent and i can easily watch it again! Spielberg brought the feeling from the old movies back. And the fact the whole thing is in the past, makes it even better.
