The Pagemaster Movie, Review

Director Joe Johnston's special effects wizardry brings shy and easily frightened Richard Tyler's (Macaulay Culkin) story to life. The young boy ventures into a library in a storm and is soon swept away into a make-believe world of adventure, fantasy and horror. Guided by the Pagemaster (Christopher Lloyd), Richard confronts his fears as he battles classic literary characters in a quest to find an exit back to the real world.

REVIEW:
I love internet! I mean seriously how i missed movies like this and Princess Bride?! Sighh...

Pagemaster is mostly a kids movies but who said we can't watch it too? We follow a kid who is afraid of everything..doesn't play, doesn't do chores..nothing...So his father is senting him to buy something one day and he stucks into a library! (Yes book lovers you will love it!). There he turns into a cartoon and goes to meet the library's world. He has to pass through 3 worlds to find the exit (Adventure, Horror and Fantasy). Along with him he has 3 books named as the genres i mentioned. Through this adventure he learns to overcome his fear and what to live really means.

While the cartoon or the effects don't catch your eye since the movie is old, it's still fun to see various stories come alive like Moby Dick or Treasure Island. Plus, it's really funny and you will totally love the characters. They represent so well their genres. And even if it is movie at the end you really wanna read a book (or get lost in a library but the first is easier) and get lost in its world!

I totally recommend the movie for kids, families or even young people who still are kids XD

Cast: Macaulay Culkin (Home Alone), Christopher Lloyd (Back To The Feature Series), Patrick Stewart (Star Trek, X-Men), Whoopi Goldberg (Sister Act), Frank Welker (Lion King, Aladdin), Leonard Nimoy (Star Trek)
