House Of Anubis ( Season 1 ), TV Series

The series follows a group of eight teenagers, who live together in Anubis House (named after the Egyptian god, Anubis), an early 1900s-era building that serves as a boarding house for an elite boarding school in the United Kingdom. Nina Martin (Nathalia Ramos), an American girl who had been living with her grandmother since the death of her parents, leaves the States to attend the school; at the same time, another resident, popular student Joy Mercer (Klariza Clayton), suddenly disappears without warning and the school's strict landlord Victor Rodenmaar (Francis Magee) attempts to cover-up Joy's existence from the school. The cast also includes Brad Kavanagh, Jade Ramsey, Eugene Simon, Alex Sawyer, Ana Mulvoy-Ten, and Bobby Lockwood.

Do not ask how i found about this one. I do not know. I guess i just did. I remember i saw it had a cool name and cause of that i watched it.

Now, if you hate British accents you better stop reading. The show has only British actors and it's actually a non-American production. I love British accents so it was like a paradise for me...
There is also a boarding school. Another one of my loves.

Hmmm...if you check the trailer you can see that's a bit low budget of what you are probably used to but i can't say it bothered me. It was actually really really good. The whole mystery and adventure of it, with the clues, some magic, the excitement makes it nice. It took me 2 days to finish the whole thing.
There is also a big variety of characters. The popular girl, the geek, the pranksters, the "normal" one, the cute athlete. They fight, make new friendships. The usual stuff.
There is romance of course. It actually annoyed me. Not because it wasn't well created but because it interfered with the mystery and i was like "come on! i want to know what's going on! who cares about them!". Yeahh....haha..

It's not much but it's entertaining. I know i missed it when i finished. I actually still miss it and want more. Heh...I think after the first 5-6 episode you will know if you will like it too.

The show has signed for a 2nd season (yay!). Season 1 has 59 episodes with 10 mins each.

  1. In this series something strange happened...
I didn't really like the acting or the low budget production but even after the first 2 episodes I was entangled in the story and the mystery.
And they do have 1 american girl in it ( if she is even american because even her accent was weird sometimes ) but I'm a fun of the british accent too so no problems there :D

  2. @Silvestro: Exactly. It has something!
And no she is not American. She is half Spanish half Australian though she grow up in Miami. Her accent is definitely not American.

  3. Well I have to admit that I have not heard of this, but I feel like if I won't like it until the 5th or 6th episode that it may be to much for me!

  4. @TheGirlonFire: well the episodes are small so 4 episodes all like one normal episode of every winter series.

  5. It is British?? I thought it was American....Anyway, sounds good....Thnx Yiota....

PS: Any chance of doing a charity again??

  6. Hm, sounds like something I might like. Thanks!

  7. i really liked the poster but i hate british accent. so it will be a problem for me, maybe i'll try it see if i can watch it!

59 episodes with 10 mins each? why? it will be tiring, i love 45min episodes..

  8. @athanasia: it's actually the same. like a 22 episodes series season.

  9. House of anubis is amazing ..... can't wait for season 2 FABINA ALL THE WAY!!!

  10. @Anonymous: yes for a TEAM FABINA!

There is lot of spam lately at the posts, so for a while i will put up the comment moderation. Sorry for that, i really don't like it but i thought it might stop the spamming. It will be down soon enough! Thanks a lot :)
