Secretariat Review

Based on the remarkable true story, SECRETARIAT chronicles the spectacular journey of the 1973 Triple Crown winner. Housewife and mother Penny Chenery (Diane Lane) agrees to take over her ailing father’s Virginia-based Meadow Stables, despite her lack of horse-racing knowledge. Against all odds, Chenery—with the help of veteran trainer Lucien Laurin (John Malkovich)—manages to navigate the male-dominated business, ultimately fostering the first Triple Crown winner in 25 years and what may be the greatest racehorse of all time. In theaters October 8, 2010.

REVIEW:
I really try to remember a bad movie from Disney and i can't. Hahaha..

Secretariat was a movie on how much you can achieve if you believe in yourself and how everyone will believe in you and take strength from you. Plus, it's a true story on the horse Secretariat who still is believed the best racehorse of all time.

What i really liked about the movie, was how well was made and how great the acting was. With a mix of Disney and worldwide famous actors they managed to bring in life an amazing story and make you feel part of it.

I want to mention some surprises i had with some actors in the movie. Of course, John Malkovich was perfect as always so i will not mention him here. But then there was Nelsan Ellis and Drew Roy. Drew Roy is know for his role as Hannah Montana's boyfriend at Season 4. So i've seen him there and i was saw him on the movie i was "oh no..he is not that good to be in". The fact, that he is. That movie make justice at his acting skills and really changed my mind about him. And the bigger surprise of all, Nelsan Ellis also known from his role as LaFayette at True Blood. I hate True Blood and LaFayette is one of the characters i hate most and sometimes the roles pass those feeling to the actors. But when i saw him here i was all the time "O.O He is soooo good! wow! so good".

Other actors from the movie: Diane Lane (The Perfect Storm, Jumper), Dylan Walsh( Nyp/Tuck), Margo Mardinale (Hannah Montana The Movie, Orphan, Million Dollar Baby), James Cromwell (Green Mile, I-Robot, Becoming Jane, Spiderman 3), Scott Glenn (The Silence of the Lambs)
