Strange Angels 1 & 2 Review

Dru Anderson has what her grandmother called “the touch.” (Comes in handy when you’re traveling from town to town with your dad, hunting ghosts, suckers, wulfen, and the occasional zombie.) Then her dad turns up dead—but still walking—and Dru knows she’s next. Even worse, she’s got two guys hungry for her affections, and they’re not about to let the fiercely independent Dru go it alone. Will Dru discover just how special she really is before coming face-to-fang with whatever—or whoever— is hunting her?

REVIEW: I have to admit i was really surprised of how much i liked the book.
Really! I have fall in love with the series. They are fast, with tons of action, a good mystery and characters who feel real and acting real. There is no badass person as a character but an average one. And she is not hot and wow as most heroines. Same for her friend Graves.
Crow's writing is amazing and simple. The characters talk and act exactly how we talk.No special worlds to make the book look better or anything. Simple and good. She gets you so much into the book and you can't put it down til its finished. And when it ends you are like "oh come on! gimme me more!". Her description make me have the exact image of the story in front of me.
Oh! Angels have nothing to do with the story. It's a metaphor. Imagine the story something like Supernatural TV Series.

She’s no angel . . . Poor Dru Anderson. Her parents are long gone, her best friend is a werewolf, and she’s just learned that the blood flowing through her veins isn’t entirely human. (So what else is new?)
Now Dru is stuck at a secret New England School for other teens like her, and there’s a big problem— she’s the only girl in the place. A school full of cute boys wouldn’t be so bad, but Dru’s killer instinct says that one of them wants her dead. And with all eyes on her, discovering a traitor within the Order could mean a lot more than social suicide. . .
Can Dru survive long enough to find out who has betrayed her trust—and maybe even her heart?

REVIEW: And the story goes on amazing as it was already. I liked how Crow's writing didn't change due the two books. Dru is now locked in a school, but if you think there is no action you are mistaken. It's there as before, maybe even more. Plus, we get to know better the new characters and understand their relationships. Also, we have some new ones which have the same interest as the old. I can't remember many books where i like to read about all the characters! And i can't remember many books that i really, like really like the heroine.
I love how Dru has always around her boys (maybe cause i'm like that too) and i love that the mystery becomes more tense in this one. I finished this one even faster than the 1st and i can't wait to get my hands on the next.

If you are into supernatural stories, you definetelly need to read the book. Richelle Mead has commented on the series and she is one of the people who told the author to publish it. I guess that's enough to pick it up ;)
