NYPD Detectives Christopher Danson and P.K. are the baddest and most
beloved cops in New York City. They don't get tattoos - other men get
tattoos of them. Two desks over and one back, sit Detectives Allen
Gamble and Terry Hoitz. You've seen them in the background of photos of
Danson and Highsmith, out of focus and eyes closed. They're not heroes -
they're the Other Guys. But every cop has his or her day and soon
Gamble and Hoitz stumble into a seemingly innocuous case no other
detective wants to touch that could turn into New York City's biggest
crime. It's the opportunity of their lives, but do these guys have the
right stuff?
REVIEW:
The movie is good in a weird way. It's not a movie with quality or anything super wow but it's funny. It has so many weird things that you laugh at most of it.
The plot sometimes goes fast and some times really slow. I find this part pretty annoying. It didn't really have a certain way on how the story will go on. It was confusing. What saved the movie was the actors. All of them play really good and getting into the roles. Not perfection, but not something really bad either.
Will Ferell, for another time show us what a great actor he is. His role is so...weird? He is calm but he also has nerves. He is coward and he is not at the same time. He is stupid but sometimes unbelievably clever..I know..confusing..but i guess that's what make it funny.
Mark Wahlberg...hmm..i'll admit i haven't seen him before. And i really couldn't understand the guy he portrayed. I think Terry, was the worst characters in the part of creation. You couldn't really see him that well as the rest. I don't believe it was cause of Wahlberg though.
As for the rest cast, The Rock, Samuel Jackson, Eva Mendes..were all great! Even though they had small parts i enjoyed each one of them!
In conclusion, if you need a comedy get it. I don't believe it's worth the money for cinema but for a friends-movie night is ok.
