Ramona & Beezus Movie Review

The adventures of young Ramona Quimby and her big sister Beezus come to life in this all new film based on the best-selling books (over 30 million... and counting) by Beverly Cleary. Ramona's vivid imagination, boundless energy, and accident-prone antics keep everyone she meets on their toes. But, her irrepressible sense of fun, adventure and mischief come in handy when she puts her mind to helping save her family's home.

REVIEW:
Love, love, love. One of the best family movies i have seen. It's funny, with sad moments and keep it real. I haven't read the books, so i can't compare but as a stand alone movie is definitely worth seeing.

The story goes with Ramona's family having some problems. We get to see them before, in the middle and after the situation. We mostly see the problem from Ramona's view. How a kid sees it. I really liked how they put in exactly the way Ramona imagine the things, no matter if it's pure fantasy. As we follow Ramona, of course the movie is pretty funny as well. That kid is a disaster. She has such an amazing mind and she loves to play. As she said she sees the funny things funnier so you can imagine what a mess exists. Of course there is also the relationship with her sister Beezus, who is a teen, and we see that no matter how much fighting or laughing at each other at the end they are closer than everyone else.

When most people will see the movie cause of Selena Gomez (i will admit that i did so), the best thing in is Joey King. The girl is a real talent and no matter how many famous actors has around her, she is the star of it. She is Ramona in all ways and you enjoy watching her. All the back cast is pretty amazing as well. From the young Selena Gomez to John Corbett. Everyone do their job as well as they can. And even if you have connected them with a role from another movie, they easily delete it from your mind. Especially Selena and Josh Duhamel.

I believe you should give it a chance. Kid, teen, adult, parent, single...whatever your category is, i'm pretty sure you would like it and have fun watching it.

Released: 23 July, 2010
Cast: Joey King, Selena Gomez (The Wizards Of Walverly Place), John Corbett (Sex and the City), Ginnifer Goodwin (He is Just not That Into You), Josh Duhamel (Transformers I,II,III), Sandra Oh (Grey's Anatomy), Bridget Moynahan (I Robot),...
