Games/Books that SHOULD be movies! #5

The Demon's Lexicon

Well you probably read the review so there is no reason to write the story again...what? oh fine! here you little whinier mcwhinie:
"Nick and his brother, Alan, have spent their lives on the run from magic. Their father was murdered, and their mother was driven mad by magicians and the demons who give them power. The magicians are hunting the Ryves family for a charm that Nick's mother stole -- a charm that keeps her alive -- and they want it badly enough to kill again. Danger draws even closer when a brother and sister come to the Ryves family for help. The boy wears a demon's mark, a sign of death that almost nothing can erase...and when Alan also gets marked by a demon, Nick is desperate to save him. The only way to do that is to kill one of the magicians they have been hiding from for so long.
Ensnared in a deadly game of cat and mouse, Nick starts to suspect that his brother is telling him lie after lie about their past. As the magicians' Circle closes in on their family, Nick uncovers the secret that could destroy them all.
This is the Demon's Lexicon. Turn the page"

Here...Happy? what do you mean i took it from the book review? well...GO READ THE BOOK THEN AND LEAVE ME ALONE! SHEESH!

Anyway. here we gooo ready? no? well anyway.

Why it should be a movie:
Well for starters it would be a good fantasy break from all the cliche gay-vampire-oh-I-love-you-please-dont-leave-me-and-lets-fight-the-bad-guys-that-threaten-our-love" thing. Well technically its not a vampire movie, but its in the dark fantasy category, which i had placed vampire movies as well...till Twilight... Anyway, the book (as far as I have read it) has a very interesting plot, illustrated and deep characters, who each one has his own suprises and characterestics, pretty much like everyone. Interesting approach on magic, though i have seen it again on the Bartimaeus trilogy placing the mages in the "bad guy" role. What do i mean? well, you all know harry potter, the little kind fellow with the glasses? Yeah that dude. Now, in this world, if he was a magician, he would probably summon a demon, feed him your soul so he can tap on to his power for a certain duration. Creepy? not really. Evil? depends on the point of view. Badass? totally!. What? no I am not a fan of bad dudes but i am a fan of dark dudes. That is another reason why i personally would enjoy this movie. Its full of them. Personall favorite: Alan aka not-so-crippled-as-you-might-think

CAST:
Nick: Tom Welling
Alan: Scot Speedman (or Michael Sheen, not sure)
Mae: Sophia Miles
Jammie: Mark Webber
Mum: Aubrey Plaza
Sin: Brie Larson
Merris: Michelle Pfeiffer

well the list is incomplete since i havent finished the book yet. Hopefully those are all :P

  3. That's weird. All the actors you picked are too old for the role. Seriously Michael Seen? Alan is about 22.

And i would love watch it as movie.
