Unknown (2011) : Movie Review

About: A man awakens from a coma, only to discover that someone has taken on his identity and that no one, (not even his wife), believes him. With the help of a young woman, he sets out to prove who he is.

Review: Yesterday I saw the movie “Unknown” with Liam Neeson. Yiota was the one that told me to watch this movie and I am glad she did, because I haven't heard of it and I would miss such a great movie.

First of all I am a fun of all the leading actors, Liam Neeson, Diane Kruger, January Jones. This is the first film I watched with January Jones except for
Mad Men (Tv Series) and I was really exited.

To begin with, Liam Neeson was really good at his role, he portrayed the “lost” man with such a passion. He is a great actor but I am not sure if he was the best choice for this role. There were some fight scenes, where a man his age could not do what he did, it was very unrealistic. As for the ladies, Diane Kruger was very interesting, I liked a lot her Russian accent, she did not sound fake at all.

When I started watching the movie, I was sure what the end was going to be and I am so happy I was wrong. I thought that it would have the classic ending for a movie like that, but I was really surprised to see it take an unexpected turn. This movie has a lot of action and agony, the story is fast and very interesting.

On the other hand there was a part of the movie that I did not like. The car chase (there was only one car chase) was really fake, it lasted very long and it was so unrealistic. Fortunately it ended with both cars crashed but everyone was safe.

This movie is really unique, even though the main story sounds very familiar. I have to mention that what this man experienced is such a nightmare, imagine to wake up and find out that someone else is living your life and no one knows who you are!

To sum up I recommend this movie to all of you, it is a 8.5/10 for me.

  2. I have to say i was surprised myself with the ending. I didn't see it going that way XD
As for the car chase and the fighting scene i felt the same but at least they explain it how he knew to do those things at the end.
