When the survival of a world is at stake, what choice is there?
Lilyana searches for the answer in the thrilling new world she has found herself in. Choosing between what she already has and what is needed will be the hardest decision she will ever have to face. Lilyana Makay, a young woman who prefers to be alone with a good book rather than spend time with others, finds herself in the middle of quite a conundrum. She is the reincarnated Goddess of the land of Makayra, yet this fact is completely unknown to her.

Review: Okay i need to admit that i didn't expect much from the book. Funny..everytime i don't expect to like a book it always surprise me!
I generally really liked the book but of course there are some small parts that bothered me and i will mention. So let's see...what i liked eh? Well for starters i fall in love with the main character. Lily is...me. From feelings, her life and how she thinks about everything is me in a way. So i was completely connected with her. She liked to be away with a book than do something else (whatever that was), she was avoiding some certain things in her life cause she felt more safe like it. And when something unexpected that makes her happy happens she totally loses herself into it.
I started from the character comments..shame on me..let's hope to the writing part. While it was simple it had a way to capture you. It was just flowing...I like that the author took her time with the story. First you get to know the main characters, their lives and what surround them and then with little steps you were getting into the main story.
Another thing i need to say it's about the sex scene. You know how weird i'm with that stuff and how much i hate it actually. There was only one sex scene and for the first time in my life it didn't bother me O.O I know right? I think it was mostly cause it happens at a point where you know the characters well enough and you understand. I mean it feels more than a sex scene.
As what i didn't like? I had problem with imagining some characteristics from the people in the book. I still don't know what age Lily is, i imagine something close to 25. And i barely have an idea on how everyone else, except the two main chars, looks. It was like i had ghosts at their roles because i couldn't create an image of them. And maybe that's small for some people but i just hate to not have images of what i read since i feel i can't understand the author's world well enough.
Do i recommend it? Yep yep! Get it! The first day i've read about 100 pages. Second i was really tired so i'm like "i will just go with 30 pages or so for today" and suddenly i was at the page 200 and i'm like "ok..what's one more chapter" and i'm page 250+ with just 20 pages left. Last page? "WHY IS THIS HAPPENING TO ME? I NEED MORE OF IT. WHY IT ENDS LIKE THAT? I NEED TO KNOW!!". I guess that means i like it..right? :P
Thanks Courtney Conant for providing an ebook copy of the book.
