Should Be Movies: Edge Of Destiny (Guild Wars Book)

Destiny Called - They Answered In the dark recesses of Tyria, elder dragons have awoken from millennial slumbers. First came Primordus, which stirred in the Depths forcing the asura to flee to the surface. Half a century later, Jormag awoke and drove the norn from the frozen climes of the Northern Shiverpeaks, corrupting sons and brothers along the way. A generation later, Zhaitan arose in a cataclysmic event that reshaped a continent and flooded the capital of the human nation of Kryta. The races of Tyria stand on the edge of destiny. Heroes have battled against dragon minions, only to be corrupted into service of the enemy. Armies have marched on the dragons and been swep aside. The dwarves sacrificed their entire race to defeat a single dragon champion. The age of mortals may soon be over. This is a time for heroes. While the races of Tyria stand apart, six heroic individuals will come together to fight for their people: Eir, the norn huntress with the soul of an artist; Snaff, the asuran genius, and his ambitious assistant Zojja; Rytlock, the ferocious charr warrior in exile; Caithe, a deadly sylvari with deep secrets; and Logan, the valiant human guardian dealing with divided loyalties. Together they become Destiny’s Edge. Together they answer the call. But will it be enough?

Why It Should Be A Movie:

Well the overview of the book is pretty epic and the book was even better (I have reviewed it) and lets all face it, after the "Lord Of The Rings" movies the epic fantasy genre died a gruesome death. All the movies that are supposed to be "epic" are actually trying to copy the Lord Of The Rings. Which is a bummer. I mean I kinda miss the whole ingenuity they used to put there. I miss the old Dungeons And Dragons movies (they were a fail but at least they put some effort to be different) or movies like Merlin, or Dragonheart. sigh. This book has the prospects of becoming something new as a movie. Something different. Something not Lotr-like. And that is why I believe it should be a movie!

Cast:

Logan Thackeray: Troy Baker (he also voices him in GW2)
Rytlock Brimstone: voiced by Steve Blum in the game, why change it in the movie?
Sojja: voiced by Felicia Day in the game, as with Rytlock, why change the voice?
Snaff: Owen Wilson
Eir Stegalkin: Ali Larter
Caithe: Kari Wahlgren
Queen Jennah: Keira Knightley

Note: If any of you follow GW2 in its creation will realize i actually used pretty much most of their cast, the truth is they have picked people that actually look like them, dont blame me! blame them! However here is an alternative cast

Logan Thackeray: Viggo Mortensen
Rytlock Brimstone: voiced by Steve Blum (seriously if you listen to his voice you will understand, he has the coolest voice ever)
Sojja: Milla Jovovich
Snaff:Owen Wilson
Eir Stegalkin: Kate Beckinsale
Caithe: Sienna Guillory
Queen Jennah: Keira Knightley

Anyway here it is! Cast suggestions or any other type of comment send it through the meganet in the comments bellow. Try to label them so I can differ them from the battle reports. Commander out

  2. It would be a great movie, even if it fails to sell like so many others...
